meet mira

Mira grew up surrounded by the beautiful Sonoran desert in Tucson, Arizona. Though her professional path has been a winding one there has been a common thread throughout: her passion for building and working with her hands. As a kid she was always taking things apart and not bothering to put them back together. When she was just 10 years old her father bought her a coping saw and she was hooked! Soon after, Mira attended a summer camp called Girls with Tools, where she learned the basics of woodworking and stick welding. Ever since, she has built projects ranging from fine jewelry to intricate woodwork to thoughtful home remodels.

After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Columbia University, summa cum laude, Mira managed million-dollar renovations of historic brownstones in New York City, worked in the optics field developing cutting-edge laser technology for manufacturing, and completed a yearlong AmeriCorps service term at a local urban education farm, Tucson Village Farm.

Does Mira look familiar? She has been on TV! In her junior year of college she and a friend invented a glove that translates American Sign Language to speech. They competed in Intel’s televised technology competition, America’s Greatest Makers, where they placed in the Top Five and won $100,000.

Her breadth of experience across challenging fields has made Mira creative, agile, and able to solve problems – the kind that come up all the time in remodel projects. She has honed her skills over years of experience in residential remodeling, from management to boots-on-the-ground, driving every screw and laying every tile. Mira now channels her energy into setting the standard for custom remodeling in the Tucson area. See what her past clients have to say.
